Trash Bash and Boogie!

At least twice a year, The TECHE Project rounds up all willing volunteers to scour the bank of the 125 miles of Bayou Teche to remove tons of garbage from Louisiana’s only National Water Trail. When volunteers show up for a day of work and fun, we provide everything for a successful cleanup: gloves, bags, pickers and even boats. After the cleanup, volunteers are treated to lunch, drinks and sometimes live music from a local Cajun/Creole band. This is truly a one of a kind event.
